Visible migration watches at Ferryhill continue to produce some nice birds. Highlights included a first winter Ring Ouzel on 7th and then on 8th two superb Adult Pom Skuas that were first picked up over the Forth and then eventually came inland over my watch point. This is the first autumn I've given the site proper coverage and one of the enjoyable aspects is the interesting mix of seabirds and land birds that can be observed; as the Poms were heading inland a flock of 100 Fieldfare passed in front of them.
Fieldfare continue to pass in good numbers with a total of 800 on 8th when other passage included 11 Brambling and 14 Crossbill.

| You can't get a better sight in birding than Adult Poms migrating. One bird had spoons while the other had the tail extension but had lost the tips. |
