This weekend..
Quiet weather and fairly quiet for birds. Ferryhills on Sat, a mainly light overhead passage that did include some decent flocks of Pink-footed Geese, one of the flocks also had 4 Barnacle Geese with them.
Sunday- an optimistic walk around Boarhills. With the wind now firmly in the south-west for a few days was far from ideal conditions but it's always worth a go. The habitat looks great for a Siberian Accentor to linger, weedy farmyards and field edges close to coast. I saw plenty of Accentors but of the commoner variety.
