Bit of snow here in Fife the last few days. In terms of the amount of snow certainly up there with the first two winters I moved up to Scotland 2009-10, 2010-11 although hopefully not as prolonged with signs of a slight thaw already happening.

Not as productive for cold weather movement as some previous cold snaps which have seen various oddities appearing next to our house in Dunfermline with the SUDS pond and surrounding scrub habitat proving attractive.
A few watches from the house produced a fleeting view of a probable Jack Snipe flying into the pond, a definite Common Snipe doing the same and small group of around 15 Fieldfare. The most unusual bird was a single Lapwing, an Inverewe Place tick I think, that flew over while I was clearing the driveway.
