There is certainly a battle going on between winter and spring at the moment with snow yesterday, temperatures at -2 when I left the house this morning and then a gradual recovery to 11 degrees this afternoon in some welcome sunshine.
The improvement in the weather got some spring migrants going and two personal firsts for the year were Osprey and Sand Martin at the Eden Estuary. A prominent movement of Osprey today with several reports from Fife and Lothian.
Also called into Letham on the way home where the Greenland Whitefront was still present.
