Have been involved in quite a bit of reptile work lately. Adders are fairly numerous on the Scottish moors but you don't get Grass Snake up here. I guess this is down to the fact that while Adders give birth to live young, Grass Snakes have to incubate their eggs for many weeks and need a warmer climate.
