Sunday the 22nd...

It's getting late in the season now but a bright cold morning tempted me back to Ferryhill for what will probably be the last migration watch of the autumn.
I was rewarded with a Red Kite following the high ground just inland of the Fife coast. You only have to get in a car and drive an  hour or so to find breeding Kites in Stirlingshire and Perthshire but the they remain surprisingly rare in Fife. This was the first one I've seen in Fife in six years of living here.
