Kept to my local area in the morning with a walk from Carlingnose Point to Inverkeithing Bay.
A Great Northern Diver gave some really close views off West Ness. I'm going to make more of an effort to look at the Inner Bay at Inverkeithing; there were decent numbers of gulls around with 6 argentatus Herring picked out. Other odds and ends included 6 Crossbill flying over and a hooded x carrion crow.
Late PM a check of the Rossie Bog area. Plenty of wildfowl including 46 Whooper Swan and 14 Pintail. Then more gulling nearby at Angle Park with 24 argentatus picked out. One day I'll see a white-winger there or Fifes first Caspo!
| A nice comparison of subtle differences in shades of grey; Ad LBB Gull at rear, 2 argenteus Herring in the middle and an argentatus Herring at the front. |
