Settled back into the local scene, this includes trying to find local places that I haven't given much attention before. One of these is St Margaret's Marsh, an area of reed beds  by the Forth  between the bridges and Rosyth Dockyard. It's a decent size and looks like it would be perfect for Bittern and Bearded Tit, no luck yet but I will keep looking. Up to three water rail the best so far.

As well as reed beds St Margaret's Marsh  has berry laden hawthorns which attracted Fieldfare and Redwing

Ad Med Gull past Kinghorn on December 8th.

Fem/first winter Long-tailed Duck between Carlingnose Point and Port Laing, one of two here December 15th. A scarce bird this far up the Forth.
