October 9th-evidence that a few migrants had struggled across the N sea into the strong South-wester; my first Redwing and Fieldfare at Burntisland, then later 16 Barnacle Geese in a field at Pittenweem and a Sparrowhawk battling West low over the waves off Cellardyke.

Barnacle Geese are mainly a passage migrant through Fife in variable numbers. |
