Hawkcraig Pt on the Forth
Pretty quiet on the bird front, thought I'd see if the storms had any effect on Little Auks but I guess the winds were more West than North-west. The highlight was non avian with amazing views of a Stoat taking down a rabbit in the car park. I was just getting back in the car when I heard the rabbit 'screaming', well I think you would if you had one of those tenacious devils after you, and then it ran into view followed by the stoat which wrestled it to the ground. After finishing the business the stoat suddenly realised I was standing there and ran off into the bushes but he had'nt gone far and as I was packing my stuff away I noticed his head popping up as he waited for me to go.
Also Water Rail calling from the drainage pond by our house in Dunfermline.
