Survey work in the Highlands-
I get the chance to go to some lovely places in Scotland but it has been a while since I was in the Scottish Highlands proper. Last week saw me back there at a site with some stunning views including a particularly pretty glen.

It's been a late spring with leaves very slow to open. Summer migrants are creeping back with 6 singing Wood Warbler and a couple of Common Redstart noted last week as well as House Martins already collecting mud.
