June 1st
St Abbs Head, Borders
A Spotted Flycatcher and 2 Lesser Whitethroat raised hopes, but it didn't get any better than that for migrants.

A cliff nesting Woodpigeon was a surprise seen flying in with nest material and then out of site the other side of the ledge. BWP mentions Woodpigs occasionally using holes in buildings but not cliffs.

Two Lesser Whitethroat were feeding very actively high up in the canopy around the mire loch, suggesting they were fresh in.

Many more auks were back on the ledges compared to my last visit.

Obliging Tree Sparrow.
