August 10th
Aberlady Bay.

The bird highlight were three Little Egret, although having originated from the south of England I couldn't get too excited. That said it was only the second time I've seen Egrets in Scotland.
Despite the fresh breeze there was a fair bit of insect activity in some of the sheltered spots, Dark Green Fritillary and Small Copper were the best butterflies, while dragons seen were a few Common Darter and a Common Hawker. An Emperor Moth caterpillar also looked impressive.
