August 24th.
Letham.
Another good variety of waders 1 Spot Shank, 1 Ruff, 5 Greenshank, 14 Dunlin, 11 Black T Godwit, 4 Ringed Plover, 10 Snipe, 3 Common Sand but no rares.

Aberlady Bay.
Not much doing in a brief visit. A few waders went over with 1 Whimbrel, and Golden Plover heard. Not much in the bushes other than family parties of Whitethroat.
A fall of migrants on the E coast seems to have passed Fife and Lothian by this time.

You know it's quiet when the flower pics start appearing. I would never call myself a botanist but I've picked a bit from being outside alot over the years. This striking flower was off my search image but on looking it up it I think it is Grass of  Parnassus. In Britain only common in Scotland and absent from extreme S.England.
