September 14th
Carlingnose Point, Fife.

Some typical mid September Vis migging with the usual suspects taking taking advantage of the calm sunny weather to move-mostly Mippits. Best bird was my first Pom of the autumn, a Juv picked up moving away to the E.

Aberlady Bay, Lothian
Another hour and a half window for a walk while me better half made some more Jewellery. The tide was on the way out so not ideal for looking at waders. The highlight were two Lesser Whitethroat in scrub just across the wooden bridge, both in sub song at times.

I've never managed a decent pic of a Lesser Throat, they don't seem to like perching in the open as much as Common Whitethroat.

The calm before the storm. A Red Admiral  nectaring on Buddliea in our garden at Dunfermline in the afternoon sunshine; tomorrow sees the first major low of the autumn sweep across with storm force winds predicted in the mountains.
