Nov 19th
Somewhere in the Eastern Borders
A nice Snow Bunt flew low NW past my VP.

Nov 23rd.
Loch Leven, Perth and Kinross

Another cracking day of weather and me and the missus went for a walk at Loch Leven at Burghleigh Sands.
Couldn't get anything special on the duck front in the time available but while scanning a nice Juv Great Northern Diver popped up. Always a good bird to see but particularly so inland.

I'm ashamed to say I don't go to Loch Leven much these days even though it is one of the closer places to my home.I often get tempted to the Fife Coast. But when it comes to wildfowl and geese you could certainly do worse than to regularly check through the flocks in this area. When I came up to Scotland in 2009 I spent a lot of time around here, particularly at Vane Farm Reserve and saw some good birds. In August 2010 I found one of these while twitching a Pec Sand!.................
