Last weekend..
A view point set up for watching the breeding Bee-eaters on my native Isle of Wight proved too much to resist. They have been taking food to the nest for at least 2 weeks now so some young Bee-eaters should appear soon.
A walk around the south coast downland after didn't produce much in the way of birds but I had a cracking Humming-bird Hawkmoth nectaring on Buddleia along the Old Blackgang Road at St Catherines Point.
