Last week..
A few days working from home from middle of the week gave me the chance to get a few hours early doors at Carlingnose Point. Highlights were a patch tick Adult Med Gull on Wen(still not a common bird in Scotland) and even better 45 Little Gull on Friday including a flock of 36 that did a circuit of the bay before moving back East. Always lovely birds I was hoping for one or two after reports from further out in the Forth but wasn't expecting a flock. They seem to be reluctant to come up to the Bridges in any number despite often being seen at hot spots further along the coast like Kinghorn.
Other visible migration has been varied, involving typical species such as Skylarks, Mipits, Alba Wags, Finches and RT Divers. Full totals here

Today at Carlingnose Point.. more of the same sort of migration, but included 2 Bonxie, the first Skuas I've had since last Sundays skua day; they were very high up going inland, I eventually lost them in the clouds.
Later me and the missus went out to Kilminning where I actually saw a decent migrant-a Yellow-browed Warbler. My luck's not been in here this autumn so it was nice to see something a bit different, now for one at Carlingnose Point- that would be noteworthy.
