Today...
Settled flocks of Geese have been hard to find in the traditional hot spot of Rossie Bog and it's environs. Encouraged by reports of a Euro White-front and some probable Tundra Beans in the past week amongst around 300 Pink-feet, I had a look today. I found the Pink-feet flock in fields at Easter Kilwhiss Farm but the only thing I managed to pick out was a Barnacle Goose. Their chosen field isn't the easiest to view, being very undulating so I probably didn't have the whole lot in view and would have been easy to miss something.
Whooper Swan are still using the same fields as a couple of weeks ago near Kettlebridge and todays count was an increase on previously; 59 birds.
Late news for last weekend when 7 Scandinavian Herring Gull were picked out at the Angle Park roost.
