Last Saturday 8th..

I did a visible migration watch from Ferryhill, North Queensferry. It was a beautiful bright, still morning (Rare event in the last few months in Scotland) and birds were taking advantage of the conditions to move. In particular Scottish breeding Tree Pipits  starting out on their autumn migration with an impressive total of 31 over in 2.5 hrs. Also of note was a Little Egret moving high along the Forth Valley.
