Recently it's mainly been about visible migration on the patch at Ferryhill with the standout species being Fieldfare.

When I got home from work on Wen night (28th) I could hear Redwings going through at low level in the dark. This and the fact I was able to work from home was all the encouragement I needed to get an early watch  in on Thursday 29th and I was treated to a real spectacle; 5,576 Fieldfare and 1,068 Redwing over to the SW in 1.5 hrs. This was the peak day for thrushes  but coverage on Friday, Sat and Sun continued to produce impressive movements of Fieldfare with 2,160, 1,558 and 509 bird respectively.
Other sightings of interest included what will probably be my last two Swallow of the year (Nov 1st) along with a Great Northern Diver flying inland with 8 RT Divers and a Twite on the same date.

Also on the 1st, took a drive out to the East Neuk in the afternoon , superb weather with the temperature at 15 degrees and several Red Admiral and a Small Tort Butterfly on the wing at Kilminning. Not many migrants on the deck but a Short-eared Owl went over at height having probably just come in off the sea.
