Friday Night..
A nice bit of nocturnal migration over our house in Dunfermline-a flock of Barnacle Geese calling as they went south at 21:20. There is a regular autumn passage of this species through Fife (Birds from Svalbard heading to Solway Firth) in fairly narrow window from late September to October.

Visible migration on the patch at Ferryhills-Meadow Pipits still dominating (peak of 1,164 in 3hrs 15 this morning). Siskins have suddenly increased (Just over 100 on Sat and this morning). One Tree Pipit on Sat and then none this morning-the first time I haven't recorded this species on a watch this autumn! A few Red-throated Divers heading high inland but no skuas this weekend.

Heading down to the south coast for a few days of birding on the IOW with the bro....

Potentially my last Tree Pipit of autumn 2016 at Ferryhills.

Beautiful Peacock at Ferryhills
