Last week another productive visit to Dumfries and Galloway with a male Goshawk perched on the edge of a clearing, Black Grouse, roding Woodcock and a Short-eared Owl at close range. My first Tree Pipit on territory (14th).

Fife this weekend. Visible migration at Ferryhills was slow but a visit to some wetland sites on Sunday was better with the Little Egret still at Letham along with a very smart looking Black-tailed Godwit and a  Ruff. Also Water Rail and 6 Redshank, hopefully some of these will breed here. At the Wilderness my first 2 Little Ringed Plover of the year.
