Ferry Hills Sept 29th and 30th.

Back from my trip down south and back on the patch.

Visible migration has been steady (although I wasn't able to get there for two really big days when the wind dropped off and encouraged larger numbers of birds to move, but fortunately Clive was.)

The highlight without doubt a flock of 7 pale Adult Pom Skuas circling over the Forth on the 29th, most with full spoons. Hoping they would come overland but they dropped out of sight and probably landed. Always a good day when you see Poms. Other highlights were 49 Red-throated Diver flying inland and a Merlin (29th) and 8 Crossbill (30th).

A proper record shot of the 7 Poms.
