Letham has come to life again with just enough of an edge to pull in waders. On thursday there were 5 Ruff, 1 Black-T Godwit, 1 Dunlin, 21 Snipe, 2 Water Rail and a White Wagtail. This morning the Ruff had increased to 8 and a Whimbrel flew over. The real highlight though was a fantastic Otter that spent over an hour fishing oblivious to me.
Yesterday a visible migration watch from Ferryhill, N Queensferry produced another high count of Tree Pipit with 30 over in 3 hrs early morning.
