Grabbed a couple of hours before work at Ferryhills on Tuesday and yet another big movement of Tree Pipits with 84 over. Also waders on the move with 2 Whimbrel, 1 Snipe and best of all, a flock of 8 Greenshank.

In the second half of the week I was working up in Sutherland and had a cracking male Merlin land in front of me. Also I went back to a area where I had previously had family groups of redpolls showing features of Common (Mealy). A flock of 25-30 birds were present many of which were Juvs and several of these showed features that were good for this species.
