Last Sunday Inner Forth

Went down to Hawkcraig Point, Aberdour without any high expectations, just local seabird movement in rather calm conditions. It was nice to see a Harbour Porpoise feeding offshore, my first Cetacean in the Forth since moving up here last year. There was also an unseasonable RTD and plenty of Puffin feeding. More of a surprise was the Puffin that swam inshore and climbed up on the rocks and then began a process of preening and drying that included hanging it's wings out in the manner of a Cormo or Shag. Seems like unusual behaviour - perhaps a sickly individual in poor condition?
