Corncrake surprise

Caught up with a calling Corncrake on it's third day(June 22nd) in the slightly incongruous surroundings of Broxden Park and Ride near Perth. The location is not as weird as it first sounds because the bird was crexing away from some rank mixed herbage/ grassland that backs onto the P and R. A good find by James Homer, this species is still a scarcity on mainland Scotland. Like the previous Quail I have no pics of this arch skulker to show you!
