Feb 5th-
Did a circuit of the Cleish Hills around the Perth and Kinross / Fife Border taking in the Great Grey Shrike along the minor road to the west of Cleish Steadings. After showing distantly on some telegraph wires and indulging in some vigorous hovering this smart looking bird eventually flew in closer perching on a hedge and then some fence posts. This must be the biggest gathering of birders I have seen on the P and K side of the border away from Vane Fm.
Also several Common Crossbill around including a female collecting stripped deciduous bark nest material.
