Pink-footed Goose update-
It wasn't just my dull grainy photo, the neck collar is grey rather than White. This is a study of the Icelandic population by WWT, but thanks to my mess up with the colour, I have now learnt that Pinkies with white neck collars come from the svalbard population and winter in Belgium.

Jan 31st-somewhere in Dumfries and Galloway

2 Goshawk , a second calendar year male and an adult male. The streaked underparts of the young male were distinctive but I had'nt fully appreciated the difference in shape from ads-the hand was very long and pointed, the secondaries were even more bulging and the tail was longer too.
