Somewhere on the Clyde.
While driving to a survey site we noticed some birders scoping a gull flock. Thoughts turned to a white-winger and indeed it was; Summer Ad Med Gull-not the one I was really hoping for but these are always very smart birds. Only the second one I've seen in Scotland. Male Merlin seen on a survey.
March 17th
East Weymss, Fife Coast
Nice and sheltered from the wind on a otherwise warm spring day and good views were to be had of a variety of seafowl offshore including 2 Black-throated Diver, 19 Velvet Scoter and at least 10 Long-tailed Duck.
