Somewhere in Dumfries and Galloway

With a run of North-easterlies late flocks of Fieldfares have been noticeable recently but a flock of 200 on 1st was impressive for the date. Later in the week summer really had arrived with Groppers, Whinchat and  Common Sandpiper back on territory.

Loch Leven

With news of the Stilt departing the Isle of May the Vane Fm scrapes and the Levenmouth pools seemed as good as place as any to try but no such luck. Some nice compensation was an Otter seen briefly but at close range on the River Leven Cut.
