July 10th-13th

Away carrying out survey work at a nice site in Angus. Female Merlin and Short-eared Owl are always good to come across, but this site also had really good numbers of breeding waders. There were a whole range of stages in the breeding cycle from post breeding flocks of Lapwing to the same species with a medium chick and a Snipe nest with 4 eggs.

July 15th Vane Farm

Two drake Greater Scaup were located on Loch Leven amongst Tufties and a Whimbrel dropped into the Carden Flood.
