Sept 8th
Kinghorn

After the skua activity at Carlingnose, I managed to snatch an hour here on route to Kirkcaldy and it proved a good move. Firstly a White-tailed Eagle from the E Coast release scheme was seen over Inchkeith Island, still looking massive at this distance. Then in addition to 7 Arctic Skuas a pale Juv Long-tailed was picked up fairly close in. It typical LTS fashion it wasn't making much headway, stalling, dip feeding. It's slim jizz and very buoyant flight immediately attracted attention. It was mobbed by a Common Tern at one point.
