Burghleigh Sands, Loch leven; a christmas day walk in surprisingly pleasant mild conditions and a fine drake Smew picked out in a nice mixed flock that also included RB Merg, Goosander and Goldeneye.

| Loch Leven is an excellent site for wildfowl but it's vast size can make for distant views. With a little bit of imagination you can make out a white blob here which is a drk Smew. |
