Kilconquhar Loch and Cocklemill Marsh, Fife
Heavy squally showers didn't make for an exciting prospect, but after several days of just sitting around eating lot's of food I felt I needed a proper walk. So I found myself in the middle of Cocklemill Marsh just as a particularly heavy band of rain swept in off Largo Bay. Still managed to kick out a Jack Snipe in the usual area.
With improved weather I called into Kilconquhar Loch after. Never had much luck at this site and today was easily my most productive visit; amongst a good variety of wildfowl the highlights were a single Slav Grebe and 4 Greater Scaup ( Ad drk, first w Drk, 2 female).
