Yesterday-
There has been a mini influx of Little Auk into the Forth the last few weeks with continued reports of small numbers, so it wasn't totally unexpected when I got one flying past during a scan from the car park at Levenmouth, but always nice to see. I gave the gulls a good grilling here but still waiting for a white-winged one. Best on offer was an Adult Scandi Herring. Another Scandi amongst the gulls loafing on the ice at Kilconquhar Loch while nearby at Kincraig Hill most of the stubble has been ploughed in so the big mixed bunting/sparrow/ finch flock has moved on.

Today-another go through the geese at Rossie Bog, although the larger flock of a few hundred Pinkie wasn't around. The lone Barnacle noted previously was present with a small group of Greylag while a small group of pinkie included a partial albino one with a white crescent on the breast.
More grilling of gulls this time at Angle Park where large numbers were coming in and out to rest and bathe from the nearby rubbish tip.  A min of 8 Scandi Herring here and I got closer to a white-winger but no cigar; a presumed Viking Gull-Glaucous x Herring hybrid.

Presumed Juv/First winter Viking Gull. Features pro Glaucous  include long parallel edged bill , uniform finely patterned head and underparts, general pale buffy ground colour to much of plumage and heavy barrel bodied jizz. Mantle/Scapular pattern more Herring like, coverts more like Glauc. Primaries darker brown more like Herring(not visible in pic). Bill quite Glaucous like at first glance with extensive pinkish base and black tip but not sharply demarcated with black along cutting edges.
