A look along the Fife coast today didn't produce anything out of the ordinary. There was quite a feeding frenzy at the mouth of the river at Leven with a large congregation of waders and Black-headed Gulls picking at the shoreline and surface of the river. I couldn't make out what was being fed on. Waders included around 120 Knot.
Also  present here were the two Argentatus Herring Gull that I first noted in January; the brute of an adult and the begging Juv/First winter. The Adult was still regurgitating food for the youngster.

Also had a quick walk out to Cocklemill Marsh to have a look through the Rock Pipit flock that frequents the mouth of the Cocklemill Burn(inspired by yesterday at Barns Ness). At least 20 Rock Pipit here but couldn't find anything that looked different.

Various species in a feeding frenzy at the mouth of the River Leven, I couldn't see what the prey items were.

The two Argentatus Herring Gull first seen at Leven on January 10th still there today. The brute of an adult may look fierce but is obviously a good parent as it was still regurgitating food for the youngster.

A couple of signs of spring at Shell Bay; singing Reed Bunting and Elder shoots.
