Today..

It felt more like spring in terms of weather and there were a few signs of spring from the birds e.g. Lapwing, Redshank, Oystercatcher back at breeding sites in Central Fife like Letham.
The Hybrid Aythya duck was still present and unfortunately like last weekend I still can't turn it into a Redhead. My best guess remains a Pochard x Ferruginous Duck...

The reddish brown tones to the breast show in this record shot, the breast colour seemed to vary a little with the light and often looked darker than the head (but always with reddish brown overtones)

Asleep but note the  dark grey back; a bit too dark in tone for a Redhead.
