Yesterday a look round the pools at Letham and Luthrie produced 120 Sand Martin, a very smart summer plumaged Dunlin and an equally smart White Wagtail at Letham, with 2 more White Wags at Luthrie.

The current cold northerly biased head winds  are typical conditions to halt a few White Wagtails in Fife on their passage to breeding grounds in Iceland and Greenland, sometimes numbers build if the weather conditions persist.
