A check of the SOC website, online bird report resource showing records up to 2009 reveals small numbers of birds annually in D and G, but pretty uncommon. Also seen were my first Osprey and Sand Martins of the year.
Back in my adopted home county of Fife this weekend and migration watches from my patch at Ferryhills were fairly quiet, Sunday morning was the better session with 150 Meadow Pipit and 170 Pink-footed Geese heading north.

A productive visit to Letham on Saturday afternoon turned up a Greenland White-fronted Goose, an Osprey heading North and 50 Sand Martin confirming spring really has arrived.
The Greenland White-front was a different one to the bird in March and was an interesting individual with a rather pink toned bill. The long bill and dark plumage were still in favour of Greenland over European. There can be variation in bill colour from both see here as an example.
