Friday
Hadn't seen any Redpolls for a while and assumed they had moved on but at least 15 Lessers and 2 Mealies turned up again by the house.
Saturday and Sunday
Some stunning weather with the temperature hitting 18 degrees c on Saturday. Passage at Ferryhills on both mornings mainly involving a trickle of Meadow Pipits, felt like good conditions for an Opsrey to go through (no doubt one did at some point, I shall have to try some early pm watches for raptors.)
At Letham a flock of Pink-footed Geese were still present but no sign of last weeks Greenland White Front. A tractor went into the field and put the geese up but it did make for a spectacular sight. A nice bonus on the drive back from Letham was a Merlin over the road between Burnside and Gateside.
