Out and About In The Highlands
Surveywork took me North this week into the Crested Tit zone and the first young are away. One particularly nice area of mature Scots Pine and Birch also had Common Redstart and Spotted Flycather on territory. Not so much to be seen on the hills although plenty of Mountain Hares around in their blue tinted brown summer coats.
