Feb 23rd.

East Lothian.

The missus had signed up for some jewellery making at Haddington, the perfect opportunity to get back to the River Tyne and feed Goosanders bread...

Ad Drakes were in the majority and there was lots of aggression between individuals; posturing with bills open






There was stiff competition between the Goosanders and BH Gulls/Mallards and it was really difficult to photo the feeding frenzy as everything happened so fast

Also popped into Aberlady Bay, fairly quiet on the bird front, this buck Roe Deer was one of four out in the open in broad daylight near a footpath.

  1. I do like that top photo' of the 2 drakes - nice bit of action. But bread! Really? I thought they were cooler than that....
