March 17th-my first Sand Martin while working in Cumbria.

Yesterday..

I had the opportunity to go to Barns Ness again but it wasn't as productive as last week. No sign of the Water Pipit. Around 20 Rock Pipit that included a couple of probable, subtle, littoralis, but not the striking individuals seen last weekend. 7 Stonechat including birds feeding on the beach.

Today.. had a look at Letham to see what the water levels are like for the spring passage. Should be enough mud to pull in some interesting waders. Lapwing, Redshank and Ringed Plover already present. Plenty of duck including 46 Gadwall.
