One of the coldest of the winter so far with the temperature never getting above zero bur some nice blue skies by the afternoon
.
In the morning a walk along the coast between N Queensferry and Inverkeithing Harbour was hampered by patchy haar but some clear areas off Carlingnose Point gave good views of 3 Harbour Porpoise, one animal was initially seen resting motionless at the surface-not something I've seen with porpoise before which always seem very active and difficult to predict where they will surface.
Late afternoon an adult Med Gull past Kinghorn (Still not a common bird in Fife) and 8 Purple Sandpipers on the shore.
